Behind the Scenes with the Indomitable Travis Barhaug
We all have things that inspire us… things that help craft the story of who we are and give us that extra fuel to work with passion, live with purpose, and “B on fire.” For our dauntless founder and chief design officer, those things range from whiskey (surprise, surprise) to a WWII trench whistle (intrigued?). Take a closer look…
B – for all my favorite things in life: Brenda, the Barhaug boys, Brayden, Bonfire, bonfires, beer, bourbon, and bikes
Money clip – found this in 1978 with $60... been saving it for something awesome, and it turns out I'm just ten bucks shy of this Elevation 64 Growler
Block plane – build something (and do it right)
Whiskey – the ideal fuel or finish for any task
Old Elk Bourbon – always testing out local distilleries (and looking for cool new additions to the office bar)
Cody plaque – a nod to Cody, Wyoming, where I'm from
Army shovel – quite possibly the best "toy" ever purchased for the grandson
Bonfire camp chair – a perfect addition to my new 170 4x4 sprinter van, the ultimate 'round-the-country camping and adventure vehicle (follow for the full build and van adventures)
Bike pump – for adventures powered by pedaling and go-anywhere grit
Niner bike seat – keep your eye on the goal and your ass in the seat
1942 WWII trench whistle – always be ready to charge
Painting – a piece from my dad, the most creative man who's ever lived on the face of the planet
Ramble Ride water bottle – because nothing beats riding 200 miles over 20K feet, all backed by New Belgium beer
