And you’re in luck; we’re currently looking to add an account intern to the family.

the ROLE.

As one of our star-studded account interns, you’ll play a critical role in fulfilling the Bonfire Effect mission of helping companies fuel business growth by attracting, engaging, and maintaining customers while creating authentic, successful, God-honoring relationships. Your support role in this mission involves bringing your creative ideas, opinions, and growing marketing prowess to our day-to-day admin and advertising initiatives – helping us attract new customers and keep current flames burning bright. We’ll count on you to help keep tabs on internal and client activities, pitch in with program and project management tasks, and communicate with client contacts and vendors as needed. And since we’re not a top-heavy, ego-driven agency, you’re welcome (and encouraged) to jump in and help with whatever feeds your personal fire.

 

A day in the life.

The account intern will be asked to pitch in and help in a ton of different areas. The goal is to grow, and learn many disciplines within the marketing agency world. You will be asked to:

  • Collaborate with the account team to prep account service-related documents such as meeting agendas and reports, proposals, and other client communications

  • Assist with market, brand, and competitive research

  • Offer up superhuman social media support for our internal brand and for our clients

  • Get quotes and coordinate with vendors to procure just-right solutions for our clients and their campaigns

  • Pay clients a visit as needed to deliver completed project materials and collateral (and sometimes wine)

  • Lend your creativity and fanatical attention to detail to support office functions, including planning out awesome client gifts and celebration events

  • Help staff and support internal and client events as needed

  • Help draft and/or edit killer content for the Bonfire Effect blog and newsletter

  • Assist project managers (PMs) and account director (AD) with tracking project status and provide accurate updates

 

What you’ll need.
 

Education

Currently enrolled Senior or recent graduate with degree in marketing, advertising, PR, or related field

Minimum Requirements

  • Interest in and aptitude for creative business and marketing solutions, especially those that involve adult beverages, pizza, or chocolate (although our snack room also offers unsalted nuts if that’s more your speed)

  • Reliable means of transportation (car, bike, motorcycle, bus, longboard, rollerblades… anything goes as long as you get here)

  • A strong desire to learn, grow, build, and inspire – with a passion for marketing and zeal for adventure

  • Top-notch verbal and written communication skills (basically write and speak like a real live grownup)

  • Strong project and time management skills; ability to “keep all the plates in the air”

  • A firm grasp on MS Office suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Must be willing and able to serve as beer Sherpa on occasion

Nice-to-Haves (but not a deal-breaker)

  • Social media strategy and management, including Facebook Ads Manager and scheduling tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.

  • Experience working in Adobe CC (PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere)

 

WILL YOU BE PAID?

Yes, you will receive an hourly wage. You’re doing real work. That deserves real pay. (Your payment may also include a stocked fridge of some of Colorado’s finest craft brews – must be of age or have a really good fake ID.)

 

WHAT ARE THE HOURS LIKE?

We know you might have a challenging schedule as a student or recent grad. So we will be flexible and work with you when setting your schedule. To start, we’ll need you roughly 20 hours a week. Some days may be slower and you might go home early. But, we ask for your flexibility as some projects or events may require more of your time.

The Finer Print
